Lieve vrienden en familie,

We kunnen niet wachten tot het weekend van 24 - 25 mei 2024! In dat weekend willen we niet alleen onze liefde voor elkaar vieren, maar ook onze liefde voor en vriendschap met jullie. Om te proosten op gezamenlijke herinneringen en avonturen uit het verleden, en te starten met het maken van nieuwe.

Maastricht heeft een speciaal plekje in ons hart omdat het de plek is waar we elkaar als studenten voor het eerst ontmoetten op een veel te laat (of vroeg) tijdstip in de fameuze Feesfebrik. Long long time ago, in oktober 2005 :-). 

We hebben in de stad onvergetelijke avonturen beleefd en we kunnen niet wachten om er met jullie nog veel meer aan toe te voegen. Op 25 mei 2024 zijn we precies 10 jaar verloofd en die mijlpaal is een goede reden om eindelijk te trouwen!

Dear family and friends,

We can't wait for the weekend of May 24-25, 2024! During that weekend, we want to celebrate not only our love for each other but also our love for and friendship with all of you. We'll raise a glass to shared memories and adventures from the past while embarking on new ones.

Maastricht has a special place in our hearts because it is the place where we first met as students at a much too late (or early) time in the famous Feesfebrik. Long long time ago, in October 2005 :-).

We've had unforgettable adventures in the city and we can't wait to add many more with you. On May 25, 2024 we will have been engaged for exactly 10 years and that milestone is a good reason to finally get married!

Vrijdagavond 24 mei 2024 - Borrel bij Lumière, Maastricht

Op vrijdagavond trappen we af met een borrel bij filmhuis Lumière in Maastricht. Vanaf 20:30 uur hopen we jullie te zien voor een relaxte avond, op het terras aan het water van het Bassin. We gaan ervan uit dat jullie al gegeten hebben, maar wij zorgen sowieso ook voor borrelhappen. 

Zaterdag 25 mei 2024 - Ceremonie, diner en feest bij Landgoed Heerdeberg, Cadier en Keer 

Adres: Pater Kustersweg 20, Cadier en Keer

Tijd: Vanaf 14:00 tot 01:00

Dresscode: TBD 

Toen we op zoek gingen naar locaties voor dit weekend, gingen we op pad met een lange lijst aan mogelijkheden. Uiteindelijk zijn we alleen bij Heerdeberg geweest. Het voelde zo ontspannen dat we direct de datum hebben vastgelegd. Hier gaat de ceremonie, het diner en het feest plaatsvinden. Parkeren kan gratis bij de locatie.

We'll kick off the weekend on Friday evening with drinks at Lumière in Maastricht. We hope to see you starting from 8:30 PM for a relaxed evening on the terrace by the Bassin. We assume you'll have already had dinner, but we'll make sure to provide some snacks.

Saturday, May 25, 2024 - Ceremony, dinner, and party at Landgoed Heerdeberg, Cadier en Keer

When we were searching for locations for this weekend, we wanted to visit many places, but Heerdeberg immediately captured our hearts so we actually didn’t look further. It felt so relaxed that we booked the date right away. This is where the ceremony, dinner, and party will take place. Parking at the location is free.

Logeren in Maastricht / Staying in Maastricht

Maastricht kent ontelbaar veel fijne hotels. Natuurlijk kun je altijd de gebruikelijke boekingssites raadplegen, maar we hebben ook via enkele hotels speciale kortingscodes geregeld. We zouden ook zeker aanraden via Google Hotels een check te doen om zeker te weten dat het op moment van boeken nog steeds een goede deal is. De kortingscodes gelden alleen op flexibele reserveringen, en non-refundable rates zijn vaak aantrekkelijker. 

Opties dichtbij Lumière:

  • The Social Hub - Sphinxcour 9A, Maastricht. Gebruik code ‘FNFRO24’ of ‘ FAMILY’. Prijs is ongeveer 150-170 EUR per nacht. 

  • Hotel Monastère - Boschstraat 71, Maastricht . Gebruik code ‘VONDEL23’. Vraag om de stille kamers aan de achterkant, en niet direct aan de Boschstraat. Prijs is ongeveer 165-175 EUR per nacht. 

  • Hotel Fitzroy - Boschstraat 70, Maastricht. De kamers zijn nog niet online te boeken, mail daarom info@fitz-roy.nl en noem kortingscode FITZ10% voor 10% op de kamerprijs. Prijs is ongeveer 200 EUR per nacht. 

Opties dichter bij het Vrijthof: 

  • Cousins Boutique Hotel - Capucijnengang 12, Maastricht. Geen code. Prijs inclusief ontbijt is ongeveer 250 EUR per nacht. 

  • Maison Haas Hustinx - Vrijthof 20, Maastricht. Geen code. Prijs is ongeveer 210-220 EUR per nacht.

  • Hotel Alex - Stationsstraat 17a, Maastricht. Als je mailt met office@alexmaastricht.nl en benoemt dat het voor onze bruiloft is, krijg je met kortingscode ILOVEALEX2024 10% korting. Prijs is ongeveer 210 EUR per nacht. 

  • Hotel The Dutch - Wilhelminastraat 60, Maastricht. Geen code. Prijs is ongeveer 170 EUR per nacht.

Maastricht offers countless lovely hotels. You can, of course, check the usual booking websites, but we've also arranged special discount codes with a few hotels. We would also recommend checking Google Hotels to ensure you're getting a good deal when you make your reservation. The discount codes are valid for flexible bookings only, and non-refundable rates are often more attractive.

We also want you to know that we'll arrange a bus for transportation to and from Heerdeberg on Saturday afternoon and Sunday night, provided there's enough interest. The bus will depart from the Boschstraat in Maastricht, which is close to the first three hotels mentioned, but all distances are manageable on foot in Maastricht.

Options near Lumière:

  • The Social Hub - Sphinxcour 9A, Maastricht. Use code ‘FNFRO24’ or ‘FAMILY’. The price is approximately 150-170 EUR per night.

Bus geregeld / Bus arranged

Goed om te weten is dat wij voor vertrek van en naar Heerdeberg zaterdagmiddag en zondagnacht een bus regelen, die vertrekt vanaf de Boschstraat in Maastricht. Dat is dicht bij de eerste drie genoemde hotels, maar afstanden in Maastricht zijn te overzien dus alles is in principe op loopafstand. Op de terugweg maakt de bus een extra stop bij het NS Station van Maastricht, voor de mensen die in Wyck slapen.

We also want you to know that we'll arrange a bus for transportation to and from Heerdeberg on Saturday afternoon and Sunday night. On the way back, the bus will make an extra stop at the Maastricht Central Station for those staying in Wyck.

Parkeren in Maastricht / Parking in Maastricht

Er zijn veel grote(re) parkeerterreinen net buiten het centrum van Maastricht. Meer informatie over locaties en tarieven vind je hier. De tarieven zijn gemiddeld zo’n 12-16 EUR per dag. P Frontenpark wordt verbouwd tot juni 2024, en daarom zijn er daar veel minder plekken beschikbaar dan normaal. 

Op P+R Maastricht Noord kun je voor 48 uur gratis parkeren. Vanaf P+R Noord brengen de buslijnen 3, 10 en 30 van Arriva je voor € 2,40 p.p. naar de stad. Meer informatie vind je hier.

There are many larger parking areas just outside the center of Maastricht. You can find more information about locations and rates here. Rates are generally around 12-16 EUR per day. Please note that P Frontenpark is undergoing construction until June 2024, so there are fewer available spots than usual.


At P+R Maastricht Noord, you can park for free for 48 hours. From P+R Noord, Arriva bus lines 3, 10, and 30 can take you to the city for 2.40 EUR per person. You can find more information here.

Extraatje

Zoals velen van jullie weten, is Alinda helemaal gek op Google Maps lijstjes met pinnetjes. Dus, natuurlijk kon een eigen Google Maps bruiloftslijstje niet ontbreken. Elke layer heeft een eigen laag / categorie, van hotels tot gezellige restaurantjes, leuke kroegjes, mooie musea en fijne winkelplekken. We hebben er ook drie wandelroutes aan toegevoegd. Eén van die routes brengt jullie langs belangrijke Maastrichtse plekken voor ons (lekker cringe), en de andere twee zijn net buiten de stad te vinden. We hopen dat dit Google Maps lijstje jullie helpt om makkelijk jullie weg te vinden en de stad te ontdekken.

As many of you know, Alinda is completely crazy about Google Maps lists with pins. So, of course, her own Google Maps wedding list could not be missing. Each layer has its own layer/category, from hotels to cozy restaurants, nice pubs, beautiful museums, and nice shopping areas. We have also added three walking routes. One of those routes takes you along important Maastricht locations for us (cringe), and the other two can be found just outside the city. We hope that this Google Maps list helps you find your way easily and discover the city!
